Experimental Study and an RSM Modelling on Drilling Characteristics of the Sheep Horn Particle Reinforced Epoxy Composites for Structural Applications

Recent environmental concern has been raised about the development of biocomposites because their low cost, eco-friendliness, and biodegradability. Machining polymeric composite is inevitable during assembly structural components. In view creating holes in composites, drilling necessary it essential to carry out research find optimal machining parameters. The experimental assessment prediction thrust force torque involved composites reinforced with sheep horn are presented this work. matrix particles were combined right proportions before being moulded poured into a mould, then allowed cure at room temperature. Investigated properties included ultimate tensile strength, flexural hardness. To evaluate quality hole, micrographs drilled hole employed. When mixture was optimised based on properties, found that 70:30 ratio produced best results. Thrust 58 N 4.8 N-mm, respectively, observed for filler laminates which using combination 6 mm diameter, 0.1 mm/rev feed rate, 400 rpm speed. This by far among combinations used experiment. Additionally, outcomes indicate rate spindle speed most significant factors affecting force. Since there minimal errors comparison, central design modelling consummate. Overall, extensive effort offers several options utilise material future applications across wide range fields.
